ST. LUKE CLASSROOM AND LATRINE CONSTRUCTION

  • Tangu Utoto Foundation

  • St. Luke Bwizibwera Maliba Sub county kasese

  • Start: 23 August 2022
    Completion: 24 October 2022

St. Luke Nursery and Primary school is a community and church founded school we spotted in 2018 when Tangu Utoto foundation just started operations.

Children at this school have been learning under a temporary dilapidated reeds and mud building that they built themselves.

These classrooms borrowed church benches and used them as learners’ seats.

More so, it had been noticed that at St. Luke, there was a shortage of latrines and a serious deterioration of the existing ones which belonged to the church. All the latrines were damaged and needed urgent attention to save the pupils from danger.

Despite the challenges, children and teachers at St. Luke were passionate about education that they were always in class.
