Team ŌYL
Founded by pioneer wellness enthusiast Victoria Plekenpol in 2015.
Team ŌYL started as a small but mighty team of health advocates, nutritionists, humanitarians, passionate parents, and wellness experts coalescing around a triple-bottom-line company, dōTERRA, that rocked our world. Soon, the team grew to a few hundred…then a few thousand advocates, seeking to make a dent in the universe by referring loved ones to sustainably sourced, holistic wellness products.
dōTERRA also utilizes a co-impact model to empower all the hands across the supply chain that touched these products before ours. This type of regenerative, justice-oriented sourcing model was non-negotiable. On top of the co-impact model, dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation allowed us to self-fund humanitarian passion projects around the world through their matching mechanism, from building organic farms in South Africa to supporting garment factory worker rights in Bangladesh, to rescuing trafficked children in Vietnam. We raise it, they double the impact.

Behind the bottle Ylang Lang
Off the northwest coast of Madagascar is the island of Nosy Be. Ylang Ylang trees thrive in the hot, wet climate of this island where locals work to harvest the beautiful Ylang Ylang flowers. A sweet, floral essential oil, Ylang Ylang uses nourishing properties to benefit skin and hair, while providing a soothing aroma.

Sourcing Nepalese Wintergreen Oil
The partnership between dōTERRA and the hard-working Wintergreen harvesters in Nepal is an exciting Co-Impact Sourcing initiative for dōTERRA, but made the devastating news of the 2015 Nepal earthquake even harder to hear. Through the remarkable response of Wellness Advocates across the world, the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation was able to support the Nepalese people in their time of need. Watch how the generosity of the dōTERRA community influenced individuals in Nepal after the earthquake struck.
