Brief description

On our block of land at Lewa Downs in Meru, we have developed a school called Dimmock Academy. The school has largely been supported by Eudaimonia; a charitable organization based in the UK, and registered in Kenya as Inklusive Foundation.

The school started around 2017 with only 8 children but now has an enrollment of close to 150 children, 10 teachers and 4 support staff. This is a low-cost school that enrolls children who can afford modest fees, and we sponsor about 14 children who pay no fees at all.

The school has a big impact on the community since there is no other school nearby. We currently have classes from Kindergarten up to Grade 6; and are seeking funding to further develop the school to include Junior Secondary ( from Grade 7 till Grade 9). Overall, expanding the school shall have numerous benefits for students, teachers and the community.

This eventually shall result into improved academic outcomes and increase safety in the school by reducing overcrowding. This is a worthwhile investment in the future of education in our community.
